Yes, I'm still doing my language exercises every single day. 100 xp worth of both French and Norwegian on duolingo and one hour or about 300 flashcards per day on lingvist.io, also practising French.

I'm still practising both my French and Norwegian on Duolingo every day, having now reached level 11 in French and level 9 in Norwegian. For the time being I dropped Esperanto because I want to concentrate on the other two ( Read more... )

I also found Lingvist which offers French practice for speakers of English. It's currently in beta and free and seems to be perfect for refreshing my vocabulary. I'm trying to do a daily session there as well.

My Russian study package hasn't arrived yet.

It's been more than ten years since my last effort at self-studying. Back then, I was trying to learn as much Norwegian as needed to read online newspapers. For a while that worked okay, but then I lost the drive to do more studying, possibly because the method I used did not agree with me. Just to keep my mind of current issues I have finally started brushing up on my Norwegian vocabulary, using the tools offered on byki.com. Learing one foreign language via another feels rather strange at times, though, especially whenever the German equivalent of a given word is so much closer to the Norwegian one than the English one I have to use ( Read more... )
